Welcome
I'm an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, helping people experiencing a wide range of issues. I'm warm, friendly and approachable, and here to support you with whatever you are dealing with. I understand how daunting it can be to talk about things and find the right support. I appreciate that your experience is unique and I will treat you with respect, understanding and compassion.

If you’re struggling or finding things difficult, you’re not alone. Even mild symptoms can seriously impair our enjoyment of life and sense of wellbeing. Things don’t have to be really bad before seeking help. Counselling can be hugely beneficial for simply being able to share whatever’s going on for you with someone who understands and supports you.

I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-criticism, relationship issues, family issues, chronic stress, work-life balance, life transitions, boundary issues, complex trauma and PTSD, physical symptoms such as IBS or chronic pain, addiction, intrusive thoughts, unwanted or compulsive behaviours, ADHD, eating disorders and body image.
Maybe you're lacking purpose or meaning in your life. Maybe you're struggling with your relationships or your work-life balance. Maybe you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed; lost or disconnected; frustrated or disillusioned with life. Maybe you don't really know what the problem is – and that's fine too.

My aim is to provide a safe supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings or difficulties without being judged. It’s an opportunity to understand yourself better and see things more clearly. I can help you reconnect with your own personal strengths, values and goals, and work out what's important to you. I can help you start to make the changes you want to make in your life. I can help you work through difficult thoughts and feelings, understand how they affect you and your relationships, and find ways to manage them better so that they have less impact on your life and wellbeing.

I can help you challenge unhelpful or self-limiting beliefs and behaviours. I can help you learn tools, techniques and strategies to help you manage your thoughts and feelings better, so you feel better equipped to handle things. I can help you develop courage, resilience and acceptance, and encourage you to understand and support yourself and your difficulties with compassion.
We can often be quite unkind to ourselves – judging, blaming or criticising ourselves for things that have happened, or for the way we think and feel. The problem is this just makes us feel worse. I can help you find ways to ease your inner critic, so you feel better about yourself and your worth as a human being. I can help you move towards living a happier, meaningful and fulfilling life. I believe we all have the capacity to grow as individuals, and to feel more present, content and at ease in ourselves and in our lives.
I'm an integrative therapist, mindfulness-based therapist and trained meditation teacher. Over the last 15 years, I've undertaken further training in various mindfulness-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Compassion Focused Therapy.
I'm an accredited trauma-informed EMDR therapist. EMDR is a type of psychotherapy best known for treating trauma but it is enormously helpful for a wide range of other issues too. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help release trauma stored in the body, brain and nervous system, including mindfulness-based techniques, breathing techniques, somatic release techniques, relaxation, visualisation, mindful movement and polyvagal theory.
